We use Facebook for quick updates, and make full blog entries as often as we can. Here are some updates we first posted on Facebook for Vietnam.
Danang and Halong Bay, Vietnam
A few interesting pictures. We saw the fire-breathing dragon bridge in Danang with 20,000 other tourists and locals. We watched someone carrying four foot tall ming vases on a moped. We experienced Sun World amusement park in Ha Long. We went on a weekday morning and it was as if the park only had 50 people in it. We actually had to recruit people to take rides on the roller coasters, because they wouldn’t go unless there were at least 6 to 10 riders. Then at night we went to Sky Wheel with a throng of others in the humid night air.
Hoi An, Vietnam
Hoi An is built by the side of canals. Gondola style boats cruise down the river under the bridges. At night time, lanterns glow throughout the old town and the river. It is very crowded with tourists from Korea. Only 2,000 Vietnamese live here in Hoi An and 3,000 to 4,000 tourists come each day, making for a very lively atmosphere.
